After graduating from the Danish School of Journalism in 2006 –
Thomas Nielsen went directly to New York to work as an intern for Magnum Photos as a multimedia producer. An opportunity presenting itself after winning a 1st Prize in Danish POY for the essay Min Faster Valborg.
Upon returning to Denmark Thomas Nielsen works for various newspapers and magazines as a freelance photojournalist.
From 2010-2014 he has been an external lecturer at DMJX, Aarhus where I have been teaching 7. semester students and International Classes. Furthermore he is part of the DMJX corps of external examiners (2014-2026).
Thomas Nielsen works with portrait and reportage and is available for assignments for Newspapers, Magazines and Corporate Communication.
